After a few hours of moping around in her bed, Daphne Greengrass had finally decided that she would need some fresh air. That as well as the warmth of the sunrays on her skin. This would mean making her way up from the dungeons. It was a pretty simple task. Daphne didn’t envy the Ravenclaws who had to make their way down all the way from their tower to the ground level every single day. Daph had lessons in the higher levels of the castle and she never liked the staircases. The young girl had always wondered why there was a need for the stairs to move about. She supposed she could ask a Professor but that seemed like a rather odd question to ask. Not to mention the fact that the Professor might not even give her his or her time of the day.
Getting off her bed, Daphne got changed. A pair of shorts and a tank top would do just fine today. It was a Sunday midmorning and weren’t Sundays for relaxing? Leaving her dorm, Daph made her way down the stairs to the common room. Her footfalls were loud and she did that on purpose. So perhaps she was garnering attention to herself but she couldn’t care less. When she found herself at the bottom of the stairs, she was the recipient of several glares. Pretending that she did nothing wrong, Daphne left the Slytherin common room.
Not passing anyone she knew on her way out, the blonde finally stepped out into the grounds of Hogwarts. Adding a little bounce in her steps, Daphne made her way to the lake. It would be a good day to get a tan… She mused. If I wanted one. Yes if you couldn’t already tell, she was in a rather good mood today. The young female found a spot by the lake and sat down on the grass. She sat in the shade of the nearest tree. Daphne knew she would turn red soon if the sunrays were strong enough when she sat outside the shade. Daphne never wanted a tan. Pale white skin suited her just fine.
